What's up with this?

Here's the problem....
280ZX runs fine for awhile gets to temp then dies.
When I pull the coil wire no spark but after a bit it'll spark up again.
Seems to be up to the car how long it wants to take before I get fire from the coil again. In hot weather it'll crank like normal but no spark then eventually fire up to do the idle die routine.
I'm running a Kameari dizzy and ignition and have checked/replaced relays fusible links AFM ECU ect ect and am at the point of just crushing it for scrap but have too much wrapped up in the engine after I did a rebuild 3 years ago.
Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your ICM is bad. (Ignition Control Module) It is located on the side of your dizzy. What year of Z, and is it an n/a or turbo?

It's an '81 and N/A and no where near stock.
I'm using the Kameari Racing dizzy and ICM which is similar to a MSD style controller.
I was guessing its the ICM too but trying to see if anything else may cause the problem also. The amount that ignition system cost I really dont see where it could fail with only 1182 miles through it.
But considering the effects of
(A) Murphys Law
-- in conjunction with--
(B) My Luck
-- and just for good measure--
(C) Expired Warranty
anything is possible really lol
