Videos and Hosting!

http://wanganmidnight.kicks-***.net/

I finally got my server up and running.

Soon, I'll have an ish-load of vids and music. Already on there are a couple drift compilations, and a VHS rip of WanganMidnight from 1991. Every Z guy should watch it.

If you want me to host a vid for you, hit me up on AIM, or drop me a PM or email. Currently, I've got 5.4 Gb of hard drive space to waste, so don't think your files are "too big" ... I do it all.

Enjoy.

646 Megs, and keep in mind, I'm on a DSL connection. Fastest connection in my neighborhood, to people tell me [in other words, my conn. shouldn't be this fast! ]

Yeah your download speed might be really fast, but your upload speed appears to be a little lacking. Mine's the same way. I can download pretty fast, over 300KB/sec. Which isn't the fastest connection in the world but its plenty fast for me. But uploading is another story. My upload speed is only a fraction of the download speed. People downloading from me on limewire are only going up at like 12KB/sec.

My uploads are quite lacking. Lets see ... the server box says it's DLed a max of 314kb/sec, and uploading currently at 73kb/sec. That sounds damn fast for DSL though.

I think something like 75-78 is max for most DSL uploading. Mine really blows though. After the first few seconds of downloading one of your vids I did notice that it picked up quite a bit. It was stuck at 1% for a while then it just took off. So your speeds are right on par with where they should be. It also depends on how many uploads you've got going at one time too. If 12 people are downloading from you then they'er not all going to hit 73KB I think thats right around the max I've hit uploading on limewire. See if only one person is uploading from me it only uploads at like 12-15KB, but I can have 5 people on there all downloading at that speed. So my max upload is about where it should be, but it just seems like it has to be divied up to use it all

Gotta love bandwidth constraints.

I'm impressed with my connection, considering while that server's kicking *** in the closet, it's sharing its conn. with this computer, and I'm DLing stuff right now! w00t!

Whatever...

I get 6Mb download speeds and 1.5Mb upload speeds on my DSL.

Let's see your cable do that. And then get everyone in your neighborhood to click 'SUBMIT' at the same time and see what happens to your neighborhoods 'shared' cable bandwidth!

Oh yeah, I can throw a rock and hit the CO for my DSL provider!

I was listening to Orbital back in the mid 90's. Had most of their CD's back then. Good band....

I'll bind it all up into RAR archives, so you can DL it all at once.
