i was just at the newark pick n pull yesterday ( on mowry ) and there was a pristine L28 in a maxima. had all new fuel system, looks to have been rebuilt, hoses were new, belts, everything. i would have taken it but i dont have the money or time or vehicle to get it. its in the very last row of nissans and its blue with an auto tranny.

 

Is it a diesel? LD28 perhaps haha.

no, it was a 6, didnt know there was a diesel L28, but regardless, it was in good really good shape.

 

Ummm.. the L24 is a six cylinder. That's what the 240Z, the 810, and the 1st generation Maxima had in them. The 810 and Maxima had fuel injected straight six 2400cc engines while the 240z had the same displacement but with dual sidedraft SU carbs.

The Z24 is the 4-cyl engine in the trucks and some cars from the 80's.

 

it was fuel injected, it was a 85 maxima and it looked to be in very good shape. it had been rolled, but the motor was very very clean, had a new fuel set up, belts hoses . .everything. so i was just letting anyone who might be intersted know that its out there.
