torque

whats the specs on the bolts holding the bell housing to the actual tranny? i searched through a few pages and decided it would just be easier to ask.

If you mean bolting the 3 main parts of the tranny together (bell housing to adapter plate to rear extention) the torque spec is 131.8ft/lbs. The front cover (that fits over the main spline shaft) is torqued to 14ft/lbs. Tranny bell housing to engine block is 37 or 38ft/lbs.

yah im switching bell housings on 2 trannys i got. so yah thanks! i wish i could afford my own torque wrench...
