If I'm reading the FSM correctly, it's saying 14ft/lbs. Someone here with a little more knowledge should back me or correct me, though...

14ft/lbs is way too low. Im talking about the head BOLTS not retainers for the camshaft. I learned that the hard way. LOL i striped my head at first.

Have you thought about buying a Haynes or Chilton manual??? They help a lot, cuz they have all the specs on several pages!

I believe the specs are 63 - 69 ft/lbs torque for the headbolts... but I don't want to go out to the garage @ 2am to look it up for ya.

Dude. You made your first post at 5:26pm and the one above at 7:45pm on the same day. That's a whole 2 hours and 19 minutes before you were upset that there were no responses.

You do realize that people don't sit on this forum anxiously waiting for someone to post a question so they can jump in and answer right?

This is not a 'real-time' communication mechanism. People live in different time zones, have 'jobs' and 'families'.

If you think this board is tough, you should spend some time at ZCar.com or HybridZ.org. You would have been flamed into a charred mass by now.

This is probably the friendliest and most tolerant Z forum out there.

You've asked half a dozen questions that could easily have been answered with a $15 Haynes manual from your local auto parts store or about 10 minutes of searching this forum. If you had spent that 2 hours and 19 minutes researching, you would have discovered the answer on your own and wouldn't have had to get frustrated by our lack of 'customer' service skills.

For the record:

Tighten the two center (right & left) head bolts to 14 ft/lbs.

Install the camshaft sprocket together with the timing chain onto the camshaft. Make sure that the marks you made on earlier disassembly line up. If the chain will not stretch over the sprocket, you've let the tensioner fall out and you'll have to remove the front timing cover to put it back in place.

Once you have all the head bolts in finger tight, tighten them down in the following order (looking at the engine from the driver side fender):

(12)(8)(4)(2)(6)(10)(14)
(11)(7)(3)(1)(5)(9)(13)

If you tighten them out of sequence, you will put torsional stress on the head that will prevent a proper seal of the head gasket and can warp the head.

You should make THREE passes to tighten the head bolts.

First Pass: 30 ft/lbs
Second Pass: 44 ft/lbs
Third Pass: 60 ft/lbs

If you tighten them down to 60 ft/lbs on the first pass, they will not properly seat and it will put torsional stress on the head that will prevent a proper seal of the head gasket and can ultimately warp the head.

For future reference. Never buy someone else's half finished project. It's a 1000 times more difficult to put it back together when you weren't there to take it apart.

Good luck.
