Check the little bumpers on the top of the pedal. Are they making contact with the switch? Is the brake light staying on all the time? If so, just put a screw through the hole and use a nut to tighten it in place. It works perfect.

LOL yeah we had that problem about two months ago... I've got an abraham lincoln and some electrical tape that fixed that thing for good. I was freakin out man when it first happened... Sadly, not the problem. Who knows? maybe it will be fixed when ever I get my Z out of the shop..

She is Meiko

At least that's what I call her. My wife suggested this change, instead of saying "Fuel level is low", she should say "Hey Stud, if you want to drive me all night, you gotta full me up"

I dont' believe that at all.

My rear brake pads go 'clicky' most all the time at lower speeds. They set loose in the caliper. Its been doing that since I've owned the car. (8 yrs) If you install the pads with lots of that anti-squeal lube they will not click... for a month or so. I say don't worry about it. Its not like there is a problem with the pads making noise, if that is what your clicking sound is.

I'm thinking it's electrical though, b/c the clicky doesnt happen when the headlights are turned off! Also, not that my cruise control works, but if i ever push the cruise control button, it makes it stop clicking...

You should have sold that car and bought a different one to do your engine swap into.

My 1982 Nissan owner's manual covers all the sounds the talking lady says from the factory. Mine says them all. Hello and Goodbye is not a factory option. Sounds like a MAC to me...

Hmm ... RadioShack, here I come. I know some hot girls with sexy voices, perhaps a Hamilton would make them talk haha. If I can do this to Alexandria, I shoud also do this for Candace ...

Hey yeah somewhere in the beginning of this thread. Maybe the 1st or 2nd page. Someone did take the back one apart, and it looked like a small record!

No, actually, from what I make of it, they are small pre-recorded disks. The "scratching" or "clicking" noise is because in a sense they are a worn out album. Mine does the same thing when it works (off and on). No way I can see to duplicate it. I thought about trying to find a Japanese version of the disk to drop in, cause I thought it would sound cool, but have'nt looked into it yet.

If you look at the disk, you'll notice there are different 'entry' points that correspond with whatever message is being played.

It's quite interesting considering it pre-dates digital recordings and was pretty reliable/durable to have lasted as long as they have.
