t/b vacuum hoses

all the small vacuum hoses around the t/b and intake ducting, are they practical or just for emissions purposes? I wanna upgrade the t/b found a motor over here with the same bolt pattern but 60mm however all the hoses are in different locations, if they are not needed i'l just block them off otherwise i'l look at some new custom hoses and which should go where

Is the motor w/ the 60mm TB a KA24E / KA24DE / SR20DE ? Those are the most common motors w/ the upgradeable 60mm. It also has vacuum ports so you can just reconnect them up for the most part.

It should connect to the boot in front of the TB... at least the USDM 280zx does. Post a pic of your TB if you can.

Yeah... it hooks in front of the TB butterfly. Since you will need to get a different TB boot anyway, just get one w/ an accessory connection. This is the US stock version (Pic courtesy of ICE's cardomain page):

That picture he posted. It almost looks like the hose from the valve cover is connected to where the air regulator should be connected. Is something else in the way?

The one closest to the throttle body is for an auxiliary air valve (I think the 80-81 n/a's had them). The one farther out (to the left of the pic) is for the rocker cover vent (which isn't fully connected in that pic). I posted it mainly to reference the throttle body boot.
