Stock 280zx N/A owners - what colour are your injectors?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure out whether the injectors on my ZX N/A are stock.

It's a "1981" South African spec but appears to be what would have been a1979 spec looking at overseas cars (long story).

My injectors are turquoise (a bright blue-green) with the letters RAM and B and 6 molded into the plastic. They have a resistance of between 3.4 and 3.8 ohms, which isn't correct according to the FSM.

My resistor packs all measure 6.5 ohms.

I have done a lot of googling and whatnot but am unable to get to the bottom of it. I have seen dark green, olive green, brown, grey and black injectors - and so I still have no idea.

If you can provide your year model as well, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks!

Thanks!

my brand new ones are a green blue as well. turbo ones are brown. as injectors age there resistance goes out of whack but if it runs dont worry about it.

Thanks guys. The one injector sticks open when the engine gets up to operating temp.

I have tried every diy trick to get it working properly but no luck. My next step is to get them cleaned by a pro. I ultimately need to decide whether I will keep that ghastly efi or junk it for a set of triples. In the meantime though I need to get it running without wasting money, even if it means buying a new injector. Hence this thread

just post up a wanted add in the classifieds. im sure someone can ship one over to you. cleaning the injectors costs half the cost of new so you might as well explore the other options.
