Starter problem

So, last weekend I changed my starter, it went fine. Then, on Wednsday my car wouldn't start. It turned out to be my Cold Start Valve. I finally got the car to start on Weds, I had to give it "the gas" in order to start it. Well, when I was trying to start it, I cranked it a few times then stopped and tried again another few times. While I was trying to crank it, the starter made the same sound (the starter not catching the flywheel and just spinning) as before I replaced it. The starter made same sound on Friday.

What do you think to problem is:

A. Bad starter, again.

B. Bad flywheel.

C. Because I cranked it too much?

Thanks for the help!!!

Alex

Nah, the battery fines and I got the starter at advance auto parts. I am thinking it just got a bad starter. I will drive it this week and see if it makes the noise again. If it does I will just get them to order me a new one. I just wanted to see what you guys thought. Thanks for the help.

Advance and AutoZone are the masters at selling bad "rebuilt" parts.

It's most likely they starter solenoid not engaging and pushing the starter wheel shaft far enough to engage the flywheel so it's just spinning freely.
