sold my zx

hey guys, bit of a sad day yesterday, sold the california body bob sharp project car. just no time or cash to continue. good thing is i sold the rolling chassis and parts with a 10.8:1 cr motor for 1800 bux!! worked out well for me that way at least. it had bunch of suspension goodies and the motor work so i felt it to be a fair price. the motor and trans are going into the guys 240z and i gave him a spare motor in pieces to be assembled for the zx. kinda weird having gone tho, big hole in the garage.

Doh! You had more than $1800 into the body though didn't ya? Wasn't this the one you had on the rotisserie?

I believe this was his new racecar project that he sold... not his silver 280zx.

No still have the silver zx. Gonna be buried in that one. The red car had not much cash into it.
120 for the car
180 for camber plates
300 for the motor, trans, and shocks, struts
50 for por-15
150 for urethane bushings
40 for some white paint
840 total invested and some time for labour

Glad to hear you didn't sell the silver one! I was thinking that was probably not the one you sold since that car looks like its worth alot more than $1,800.

Lol title was designed that way. Most forget I have 2 of them. I just was never gonna get to it with time and money in the way. Best to part ways and let someone else enjoy it. He prolly won't finish it anytime soon as he's finishing his 240z first with my motor. He will most likely be in contact for parts as I didn't give him any bolts yet and just realized he doesn't have rods or pistons for the spare motor. He was ok as I was just giving him one of everything out of my loft to compete it. After a few hours he was done and wanted to leave. Lots of little parts to make a car. One a side note drove my silver car for the first time in 2 years. Was a great drive, forgot how fast it was.
