So, how bad is this?
Ok, I realized that I had two leaking freeze plugs, so I had no other choice but to remove intake and exhaust headers. To my surprise I found the that exhaust 5 and 6 have a lot of carbon accumulation (maybe this is what's causing the popping when I let go of the gas??).
However, the scariest thing is that I found what seems to be an oil leak from the head gasket. Can you anyone of you shine some light on this?

Carbon buildup would either be something wrong w/ the injector or spark plug (too much fuel, not enough burn), or an oil leak in that cylinder.
Oil coming from the head gasket... was the head torque'd to spec? Proper head gasket? Head gasket installed the right way (and right side up)?

I'm not sure I would stress too much about the head gasket "leak" (if you want to call it that). I agree with the prior poster's questions and would suggest that if a compression test reads comparable results from cylinder to cylinder (within specs of course) I wouldn't worry about it at this point. Of course, this assumes that you're having zero cooling problems.

Well, I was hoping the people who put the engine together for me would've done that properly, but I guess they didn't.
i was gonna say, that just looks like the side of the gasket, not an oil leak. the fact that the frost plugs on a almost new engine are leaking isnt a re-assuring one to me, those really shouldnt leak that soon. the cylinders id worry aboot are the white ones, they are on the edge of lean in my opinion. do a cylinder leak down test "read the manual or google that" it will tell you aboot whats going on in there. plus do a compression test. the fact you have alomost new injectors means almost nothing to me, ive seen them fail outta the box.

First thing to do is pull all your spark plugs & inspect the tips. If you need to test the fuel injectors, pull the rail, flip it upside down still all connected, crank & watch them spray.

You want to see how they spray. Can't do that w/ a bunch of water bottles covering them.
20+ year old wiring, plus gasoline. he needs to see if one of his injectors is pumping too much fuel, if each injector has its own collection devise, he can see if it really is a leaky injector, also if the injector isnt spraying right, then there would also be less fuel in the collection container...
