Dude... I know EXACTLY how you feel. E-X-A-C-T-Y-! Sometimes ya gotta walk away for a couple days, even if you're in a hurry to get the project done. Cool off & that will give you time to make some additional plans or changes.

its not that its just i bought the damn helicoil kit, and it wasnt cheap...just to find out it was cheaply made...the tip where the tang of the heliocoil grabs onto when you thread them just snapped right off.

Hey Skully, I know how you feel, well to a degree anyway. I was frustrated, and wanted to throw in the towel, on my Z too. Even though, I didn't do as much, or even close the amount of work. You have done on yours, but it really isn't any different, when it comes to the frustration. But yeah take a break from it bro, and come back when you are more level headed. It would suck, if you do more damage, because you are irritated, and such.

Keep the faith brother, you will get there, no rush. Take your time, and everything should fall into place. Patience is the big key to any project. And don't give up man. You have inspired me, and others on here. So hopefully that accounts for something.

Hey man, Skully....you know things happen, you know things break, but most of all you know once it is fixed you will be happy. BIG PICTURE my friend, it will work out...you got a woman....best way to get your frustrations out, do your thang, have a smoke, and be glad it's not a YUGO!!! My floor pans are falling apart, my exhaust is leaking, my O2 is FUBARD, and my rear struts are siezed...but hey it's a give and take kind of thing so punch yourself in the sac and FIX THAT CAR!!! We belive in you!

Sorry if I came off a little strong, its just that it seems more and more of the Z community is giving up so easily due to frustrations and stress. Im just sure that if any of us got rid of our Z's under these types of conditions we would be kicking ourselves later. So again, Im sorry. Just looking out for you and others with strong words of encouragement.

dude skully man from one canadian to another, you can always fly me out there if you really need a hand. and to insert the helicoil, use needle nose pliers, they work to insert them as well, the tools used to be made out of metal, now the cheapo's use plastic, then just break the tab off with a needle punch, tada! solution, and the store always has more quality taps. theres arent great, but they work. so man you already got the drinking thing down, now get laid, and have 2 beers by lunch while working on the motor, and youll be golden. just dont drink too much leading to a quiker temper, and a bit sloppy workmanship, we really dont need to see you vien dude, or you givin up. go skully!!

I have yet to give up on my Z. 1 Month away from haveing it a year. Never heard it run. Tryed So many times to start it. Been though 3 starter's. Been waiting since May 25th for Fuel Rail and T/B spacer. Have yet to receve them. My car was in a fire before i got it. I have replace wire's, part's, countless small stuff. Had fuel leaks, injector problems, fire(coil) problems, Carbon Build up problems. And I am still workin on mine. I have striped bolt holes. Even busted a chit load of bolts. Stay with your Z. Give it a break. Take 2 Weeks-a month off it. you'll be cooled down by the time you start on it again. Or save up for a long block and start from scratch. What you do is your choice, But if you quit, then all that work and money you spent will be for nothin. Can't have that can you?
