Drivers side manifold right? Let me guess, the stud closest to the firewal was snapped off too... which eventually led to the manifold warping enough to crack... Seen it a thousand times.

Now, my buddy just got an '85 (to replace the '87 that got totalled by a drunk driver, which was itself a replacement for his '86 that got totalled about 8 months ago...), and I will say that this car is frickin immaculate! I actually spotted it going down the road and chased the owner down to get the phone number (wasn't on the for sale sign). It's all original, 105K and absolutly gorgeous. The paint is flawless, It's got every bell and whistle offered that year (Leather seats, digital dash etc...) and it all works and looks like new. It's never been wrecked, came from the original owner (older female), no signs of any abuse what so ever. We took it to our local Z car guru to have him do a pre-buy inspection. This guy is so nit-picky that it's scary, and he instantly gave it his stamp of approval. It's a really sweet Z31. Stepping into the car is like being time warped into 1985!!! Best part is, the manifolds are still intact. I'll put up some pictures of it in the next couple of day's.

Rod.
