Rear Diff Fluid! This is odd!

Ok so I spent three days replacing the diff seal, FYI its a pain in the ***!! Non the less I went to put the fluid in the 180 needs 2 1/8 Quarts and the 200 needs 2 3/4 fluid, well

A) I can't figure out which mine is.
B) When I go to fill it if I put any more then 2 quarts in there it over flows. Which is odd because I am not even at the max?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

What year is your car? And do you have an auto or 5-speed?

You just fill it through the top hole & when it starts to drip back out, you're done. Might want to stick your finger in just to make sure. Here's a pic of the R200 on the left, the R180 on the right:

Fill it until it pours out the fill hole. Drive it around the block, check level. If it's full it's full, just like the tranny. So long as the fluid pours out it's good to go.
