could be a few things.. could be a bad tensioner pully.. or could be a loose belt.. also could be a bad water pump.. or could be a bad wheel bearing.. can you describe the sound in more detail.. and tell me does it only make the noise when the car is moving or does it make the noise when its in park and you gas it...

yeah but the trhow out bearing would make that noise even at idle.. you might want to check your breaks and wheel bearings... jack the front up and wiggle the front tires to see if theres any play... then take off the tires and inspect your breaks..

Here's the deal, he has to remove your entire transmission and clutch just to get at the throwout bearing. That's why it is $500. That's a good price for a replacement clutch with all the labor to do it.

If you're going to do the work yourself or have someone else do it, just pay the extra $100 and put a new clutch in there. The throwoutbearing is only $20 or so but takes hours of labor to replace.

the entire transmussion??!?, nah i replaced my clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing myself... takes like 2 hours tops if yougot a lift and a buddie and propper tools (ie. impact wrench) ya gotta move some stuff out of the way but after that, its smooth sailing...

when i replaced mine the new TO bearing wasnt any good, it slung the grease out of it in like 30 seconds after we started it up, had to replace it again, the seal on the first new one was bad, and get this guys, when i took the old one out... it came out in 3 peices... lol

but yah... you should just do it yourself man

I think its pretty light. But I will be using a transmission jack! I got the whole turbo 2+2 driveline stuff as well so this should be a bolt-in.
