you really have a lot to learn man. there is absolutely NO reason to put the VG30E into a s130. it makes all of 160HP, and there is not much you can do in the way of power modifications. it would be a HUGE waste of time and money. PLEASE do some more research before you keep asking these questions, and PLEASE dont put a vg30e into an s130.

I want a billion dollars... but I try to be realistic too. We're just saying that you should do some research before digging your own grave w/ some crazy engine swap you have no idea how to do.

the VG30E is NOT what you want then.

just how much power do you want????

edit: re-read his post and saw it was a VG30DE. but i still say it is not at all something you want to do. VG30DE has 222hp. you can easily get that out of a L28ET, and you wont have to do a ton of custom fabrication to make that motor fit.

you really have to think this through... theres a lot more involved then just swapping a motor in.. $2500 is just a drop in the bucket in trying to make your car into a beast.. yeah you can pretty much get any high HP engine and transplant it into your S130... it can be done but at what cost.. i can tell you this.. anytime you try swap out any engine that was never designed for your car , your going to spent a crap load of money to do it.. in most cases its just not practical unless you have the recourses to get it done or if you have a ton of money to just throw around. not to mention the mechanical know how to do it yourself.
lets say you do get the engine you want. its going to cost you another $2500 or even more to get the engine in your car.. then you gotta worry about how your going to stop your car.. your gonna need to upgrade your brakes. theres not a lot of company's out there that make a big brake upgrade for the s130s and the ones that do will run you over $2500 not to mention your gonna need new wheels.. now how much more do you think thats going to cost you...

you should listen to what the guys on this board are telling you.. im assuming your still pretty young and money is going to be an issue.. do the most logical thing with your money.. put it into building a 300hp l28et. it will be money well spent..

go to a drifter shop that does fabrication and pay them to install an SR motor it will cost you about 3500 and then yeah. bye. any V motor other than a V8 is going to cost way to much and be way to hard to install, but a V8 is basterdizing the car. so get an l28et and do the install for about a grand not even if you can do your own work. 3500-4000 for an SR, and 6000 for a RB25 probably. but reading what you type, your in no way qualified to swap a motor. sorry to say but you need a pro.

You'll need a lot more than $2500 for a shop to do a swap.

Most shops will do a bolt in swap for five grand.

Just put an L28 turbo in there and spend the other $1000 or so on some upgrades. You can put down 250whp... (approx 300hp crank) and learn on that engine.

Or just get out your checkbook and go buy a 350Z

i don't understand

you want to put in a different engine because yours has 100k on it? 100k on a nissan engine is just about broken in. You want more power so you want to put in a whole new engine/ probably new transmission. Why not just save up for a Vette and forego the whole old car new engine problems you will continuously have.

But if you want more dependable power and a relatively easy swap, try a RB25DET with a nice big turbo and you'll see 600 rwhp shortly thereafter you will see a tree or highway barrier at or over 100mph. Good luck!
