Os giken head
Does anyone actually have one? I mean OS had to produce them...and they have to be out there floating around somewhere.
I've read they weren't much of an advantage over a single cam L series.
I've just never actually SEEN anyone that had one. I'm wondering where they went. I saw the KA molded L series on youtube, he's building a devil Z type replica... except the devil Z had a 3.1 stroker twin turbo single cam making like 450hp or something like that. lol
I'm really debating on whether I should go KA-T or L28ET.. ugh.

Who said they were not much advantage?
I saw an old 1980's video of an L16 powered 510 with the DOHC OS head blowing past a DOHC 240Z with the S20(?) engine. Nissan's Z342 basically. 2.0 losing to a 1.6L due to 10k rpms of power. Those OS heads rev HIGH and flow very well at those revs.

L28ET or RB25DET are the only real choice.

you dont have to buy a TURBO motor...you can buy parts to make your motor turbo. turbo pan, turbo manifold and a turbo dizzy. since you plan to so call make 500 hp you will have upgrade car components. you will most likely send a l28 to a shop. read about the stroker not all that great on a turbo motor. better just to turn the boost up

people are almost throwing their KA's away around here lol
mmm low end torque.
I just wish I could get ahold of a freaking l28et. lol
I'd just buy a advanced rebuild kit from race tep, do a little head work and boost the hell out of it
they sell a turbo kit for a KA... its 11 grand??!?!?!
I'd love to know what they charge for an L series motor build...

i would though since i don't have an F54 block only the older version L28. so spending the 500 on a turbo motor would be the same price route as getting an NA block and piecing together a turbo setup, i'd know, i've done it before lol.

why i said you can build you a l28et for cheap. no difference in a turbo piston and a n/a piston on a n42 block. But again if u want so called 500 you might want to look into forged. methanol would work great but still cheap insurance having forged pistons and rods(not cheap in price though). but snw knows all about building a turbo l28 ....the ka is a great little motor. of course you have the battle of ka vs sr.
