Ok, Wildman recently hooked me up with an original ZX stereo that I've been after for awhile. Anyways, looking at the back, I see a plug that I can only describe as looking like a CB mic plug, or maybe an old AT computer keyboard plug (the old big ones), except black. I believe that the female end in the car has been cut since I bought the car, and was wondering if anyone knew what this plug was for. I may have to hard wire the lines in...

Maybe antenna??

 

I think it's actually for the speaker fade/ ballance stick that came in some models. It was located in one of the cigarette lighter spots (I think the right one).

 

No, antenna cable is intact. I'll have to see what box it hooks up to. Could very well be the stereo wide cable...

*UPDATE* Well, it IS the stereo wide cable. Now, does anyone know if it's needed, or will the stereo play without it "IN STEREO"???

I should probably just hard wire it in with reattachable connectors...

 

that little plug is for the cassete player.

 

It goes directly to the back of the box that is the stereo wide ****...
