I wouldn't call it absurdly overpriced. Consider how long it would take to fabricate that custom turbo exhaust manifold.

Also, consider when these cars were popular and aftermarket kits like this were available they generally cost in the $3000 range and that was before 20 years of inflation. Probably equivalent to $5000+ in today's dollars.

Of course, I wouldn't pay that much for it since you can get a lot of improvment with the stock exhaust manifold and even then, I would modify that to take a T4 flange before going to the effort of fabricating a whole new turbo exhaust manifold. I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into it though.

I'm wondering if it will even work on a LHD car... It came off a RHD car. I wonder if it will interfere with the steering gear/shaft...

I didn't catch the part about it coming from a RHD car. It will most likely interfere with the steering rack requiring even more time/money to make it work.

Ok, now it's getting absurdly priced!

What I want to know is how some dude in Ten. ended up with that thing. You know how hard it is to find stuff like that. If that turbo is as old as the manifold then it's probably pretty outdated as far as bearings and the wheels go. He even said "low km" That's not something you usually hear from some one on this side of the pond. As far as absurdely overpriced goes, I don't think so. Consider the cost of a turbo kit and that starts to look pretty cheap. Of course there is still the whole making it fit with a LHD setup, but hey, if I had a RHD and some spare change I'd bid on that thing just for the simple fact that NOBODY can claim that they got one too

That thing will definetly hit the rack not only does it point down vut that compressor looks huge .. Not to mention my turbo setup [turbo, xternal wategate, and intercooler cost 780.00 total ] And I will be putting out the same/more power.. Even with that you still would need stand alone..
