new tires, what size?

Now that I have the car running, my boxed set of new Panasport 16x7 wheels have gathered dust.

I want to run Bridgestone Re-11. What size tire would you run?

tires

205-50-16
or
225-50-16
What do you think?

The reason is I can get the re-11s for 300 bucks a set.

depends really on the offset of the wheels... I prefer the stretched look (which even 205's wouldn't give on a 7" wide wheel) but if the offset is pretty high (0 offset is pretty high for me :P ) then I would go with the 225's just because they would offer more grip...

225/50/16's if you're stuck on the RE-11's.

you don't think that getting that kind of rubber for a 7in wide wheel might be a little... pointless?

Yes, 225 goes great on 7 to 8 inch wheels.
