new motor compression

My rebuilt motor just turned over 2,000 miles. So I thought it was a good time to check compression. All the cyclinders are right around 95psi. That seems really low to me. Does it need more break in time or is something wrong? I did the test while motor was at hot and had a buddy push down the throttle while cranking it over a few times.

For those without telepathy (or the desire to read all your old posts)...

Turbo? N/A? Overbored? What size head gasket? Any head work?

Dry or wet compression test? Did you try another car to verify the gauge accuracy?

Sorry its an 82 280zxt. I did a wet compression test. I will be trying the same compression test on my 82 280zxt parts car tonight, just to make sure the gauge isn't bad. It was bored 0.20 over, stock size head gasket, and the head got decked with new valves and cam.

I just got done doing a compression check on my 82 280zxt parts car and all cyclinders are around 95. So bad gauge I would say. I'll get a new gauge and let you guys know from there.
