I should be picking it up by next weekend. I decided not to restore my 1979zx it was a hard choice after having it 24yr's. most of all it's the time I dont have also I'am not as handy as most of ya'll............ I will try to post some pic's to see if I did good on my find!!!!! it's got some goodies on her

That's a pretty broad question...

The wheels, the windshield wipers, headlights, mirrors, front rotors, lights, rear view mirror, shift ****, seats... etc.

I guess you are asking if those things will swap?????

Are they both 2seaters? 2seaters & 2+2's have diff size stuff from the doors back. The turbo uses a bigger flywheel / clutch than the non-turbo (turbo & 2+2 clutches are the same).

I have an idea, instead of asking every single thing that COULD swap, when you get both cars together, take a look, and see what will swap.

thanks... I knew a lot of hardware will enterchange. I thought I could grab some $$$$ parts off her before i sold her. like power window motor & parts, maybe the alt..stuff like that!!! maybe some of the relays & sensor's ...... I dont know what to do with the 79 coupe. I mean someone could realy fix this thing up, that had more time than me... it's (completly org.) nothing missing. I hate to start gutting it... whats a project car worth these days??? or would I get more $$ parting it out??? any way could you help me out on some threads, how to read the turbo gauge. like where needle should be @ crank-up & running @ diff. rpms (should it be in the minus @ all ,or even in the red......... I know nothing @ this point. also what do you guys do for insurance on these z's thanks so much hermultra

You can swap the speedo from your 79 into your turbo car. That way you know how fast you're going as 85 mph is nothing. Since both are coupes pretty much everything will swap out minus the diff, driveshaft, and some steering components. The stock boost gauge isn't very useful other than to tell you when you're in vacuum (minus side). It should be in the middle when it gets power, and in the minus side until you boost. That's about it. You're better off getting an aftermarket boost gauge. Just be sure to idle the car for a bit after driving it as you want the oil pressure to stabilize, and the oil temps to drop a bit to prevent coking of the turbo bearing.
