Really cool. On average howmuch does it cost to ship the cars over and on average howmuch do you make on a car? Good luck with your new bizyness!

You guys are too funny! Why would he tell you what his profit margin is and how you could start your own competing business?

These questions are easy enough to answer without him handing it to you!

well, maybe cause craig isnt competition, i think he is 17 or 18 years old, lol. im curious what he charges (other than the car purchase) to bring the vehicles over and then for legalization (not what he gets charged) and then i also wonder how much SR motors are over there when they are taken from the cars that need the motor swapped, ive ALWAYS wondered what the people here pay for (bussiness owners that is) the JDM motors and how badly they are rippin our *** off because i could only imagine a useless engine in japan would sell for next to nothin over there.

I hate to say it, but you're wrong.

There's a company here in Winnipeg that imports cars from Japan. You can get an R32 GT-R driving and registered for less than $14,000 Canadian.

That's the link in case anybody is interested. And to the other Canadian boys out there, Marv (the owner) will deliver bought cars to all across Canada.

Those costs include shipping, handling, and all the things the car needs to pass Canadian Safety Laws.

*cough*buy a Skyline, Shady!*cough*

If you want an R34, take it apart in Japan, ship it to Canada, put it back together, and register it as a kit car.

You have to take it apart & put it together to do that? Is the government going to watch you put every piece back together to make sure it's a "kit car" ?

In fact, as long as you take the engine apart, it is considered a kit car. I bet you could get away with "Taking it apart" though.

I know this question had probably been asked a billion times but... what exactly is needed to make a Skyline street legal in the US? Iv heard it legally can not be done. Iv also heard of people registering it as an S14 or something along those lines???

MotorX was raided by the Feds and shut down about 2 years ago... ;(

For LYING about their "Federaliztion" of the Skylines they were importing.

Basically, they federalized a couple of them and then claimed they had done the same to all the others... but they hadn't.

It's questionable if the current owners of the MotorX cars are going to be allowed to keep them. It's still tied up in court. A friend just sold his R34 GT-R to avoid the loss if he had to turn it in.
