are the zx's neg or positive grounded vehicle???? the reason I ask was I havent drove the z in about 5 days so I thought I would throw the battery charger on (schumacher) 1.5 ampere. the interior lights were working @ the time, so anyway the charger cuts off when fully charged, got up to go to work & it was still on the charging mode. so I unpluged the the charger & it felt a littlle hot / wormer than normal. got home from work and opend the door (no interor lights) battery dead, so I pluged the charger back in & the light on the charger is in charged mode.... it must have reset itself 20min later I checked & now it is charging. the the charger manual says if your car is neg/or positive grounded to hook it up a sertin way for each. I just hooked it up + on + & - on -................sooo

1 the battery was bought in 09/07 & car sets alot thats why I put the battery tendor on in the 1st place.

2 I have the h/4 conversion kit with the heavy duty wiring harness, that wires to the battery with relays.

3 are these h/4 hard on the battery with I think stock alt..

4 I had an issue with the battery three weeks ago @ work (nights) got off & battery was dead, pushed started. both battery post were loose tighten both put on charger every thing has been fine.

they are - ground.

 

99.999999999999999999999999999999999999% of all cars are negative grounded.

Start searching for the power drain starting w/ the door pins & lights. Then any extra wiring / switches / relays you've added.
