It is my worst fear there is no Z mechanic in PHOENIX and you resorted to selling your Z?? I was praying for a better outcome in finding mechanical experience with my Z car.

 

It's basic mechanics stuff. I boggles my mind that in a city the size of Phonix there isn't a thousand people with brains enough to fix an early EFI car???? Don't mechanics have to jave some form of training in the USA?

 

lisalevi, I did NOT sell my car and have no intention of selling her! I don't know where you got that information. There are Z mechanics in Phoenix. It is finding the ones who are honest and will give you a break and listen to you about what you know and what you have had done to the car. Arizona used to be a wonderful place to live and people were (for the most part) good and willing to help. Now, it is filled with rip offs, scams, people who say they know this car but do not, people who make appointments then don't show up or call, and people who say they know the car and end up charging you for causing more problems, and shops who charge 10 times what it truly costs. People are out for a buck and they don't care if you are not in a position to pay these outrageous fees when you need your car. Very sad.

Ahhh yes an honest mechanic is a completely different story.... Ask the locals - the truth reaveals itself.
