Need P.S. assist pump...

Already posted this in Marketplace, but thought I'd do it here also. Needing an assist P.S. pump for an '82. Live in Mesa, AZ.. Zip is 85207. Let me know how much with shipping. Need someone to work with me on this also, as this time of year is REAL bad for me (and everyone else...)

Thanks,

POOR Carl

Update....

Ok, after doing the old screwdriver test, I think it is probably the idler pulley bearing. Does anyone know if that (the bearing) can be changed or greased??

Thanks,

Carl

Easily replaced, simply remove it, remove the C-Clip from in front of it, press it out, press in the new one, replace the C-Clip and re-install. That bearing should be available from almost ANY auto parts store.

I don't think anything is required to press it out, and put the new one in. At least that is how it was when I redid it in my '81 before. Shouldn't be much different with the '82. Anyway I believe you put some grease on the bearing, and press it back into the pulley. Now remember what I was saying before you left? Just giving you crap man, but it is nice I am right once in a while.

I just called AutoZone, and they said that if I bring it in, they'll SEE if they can match it up. Thing is, I gotta work tomorrow night, so it'll have to be done tomorrow
