Angry Mike's getting aggravated!!!

I am trying to be calm, but I can only put up with so much. My tranny is now...or should I say, is also leaking from the radiator. I had the bolts tightned on the pan only to find a pink puddle O' goo under the radiator in the pan below it today. Oil pan is still leaking...and now my starter is taking a shitzzzz!!!! My back is taking a beating from the locked up right rear strut, the exhaust leak is getting loud again and the damn sqeal from the right front brake...that is also leakin on the inside of the rim makes me cringe eveytime I stop.

The thing is, I am near a point where this car is going to be needed quite often for work and it is actin a fool...I don't need grimlins damnit!!! The starter is pissin me off the most...2 days ago I tried to start the car and the starter didn't engage but when I let of the key it just kept whining faster and faster till I hit the solonoid with a wrench! I know these are small things but they are real big for me right now....I AM GOING NUTS!!

I know your pain. My exhaust leak is really bad that you hear it and when it's cold the exhaust shooting out is super visible. It's loud as hell when cold. Hell on the freeway the exhaust leak drowns out the fact that the muffler is shot. Ignition, kind of an annoyance, but not a big deal at all to fix. 5-10 min tops, it's just coming up with the cash. If you need parts always check out rockauto. My front passenger brake is also wonky, but my car is slowly coming together. Since I never found any takers for the T-5 tranny out in my garage I think I'm just gonna go ahead and swap it in over the winter while I do my exhaust manifold gasket.

I put the pink stuff in the tranny and she is calm now and driving ok, I was on my way to drop my girlfriend off at her house after work, we worked together today with her dad, and I took the car over the Bayside Bridge and burried the needle. I thought it was gonna break off!! The car really wakes up over 3,500 rpm's. I think I toped out at about 4,800 rpm or so on the tach and she still wanted more but I dont want to break her more than she is. I have to say, I am being a little more mean to her than I did my Camaro but she is handling it well, when I get the 5 speed she's gonna get whooped!!! lol in a good way. I am in a better mood now if you all can tell.

hey thxone, maybe you may want to take the 45 minutes and do the strut, and the 30 minutes and do the brake caliper, the leaks will still suck, but the car will be safe. im just one to fix stuff like that cause it can get dangerous and hurt you and possibly other people. i know money is tight, buy 200 bucks can go a long way here. and i soooo know your frustration, i think it happens to everyone with a 25 year old car

yeah you think your exhaust leak is bad, try having no exhaust and holes in the floor. Well if you need a caliper, i might be able to get one for you, which side if so. And do you think it'll fit in the back of my tool box. lol

No kiddin... rear struts are simple, and AutoZone replacements are cheap.

rebuilding your cylinders is time consuming, but the result is sooooo rewarding. your car sounds like my z31 slicky did when i first got her!!! relax, take it one pain at a time and then celebrate!!!

The brake fluid leak is from the connection at the caliper on the right front tire. Looks to be a small leak. The rear strut will take me about 15 min start to finish with the correct tools, it was real easy on my buddys 1980 2+2. Everytime I get money I either put it in the gas tank or go out with my chick....I need to pause and fix that strut! I just about have the fluid leaks buttoned up on the tranny and engine oil pan...major issues are the starter and rear strut. If I take a left turn the right rear wants to hop where as if I take a right the car squats a little and digs in and feels real good, so I take lefts slow and wide to a point. I just gotta keep working and get her done right.

The Rear Strut Is Like 4 Bolts To Get It Out. 3 On Top Of The Strut Tower And One At The Bottom Near The Backside Of The Brakes. I Think Its A 14mm Maybe A 17 Can't Remember.

I want to say the one on the bottom was a 15mm. ..... I could be wrong...it was like 2 years ago when we changed his rears. The ONLY problem we ran into was with the spring, it was kinda a pain on the first one to get the spring compressor on it as we re-used the stock springs...it took like an hour on the first strut, the left rear was like 5 min to do once we knew what to do.

Just curious here, is anyone on this site with a S130 coupe changing there perfectly good used rear struts for new ones? If so, I will be happy to take the old ones off your hands if you all are just gonna toss them. It would help me save up for the starter and a few other pain in the *** things I need...I am not trying to put anyone out here but thought I would ask...if there is something I could do for you I will look into it. My car is an '82.
