That is the question, and of course what does it consist of, is it major or minor.

 

Lose It Weighs More Than Manual Plus Less Can Go Wrong With It.

 

If you lose it, i want to get the in-car sensor that runs through the dash, if it is still intact, along with any other working parts.
I thought there was a STICKY on what all has to come out and what all needs changing, but i was looking for it the other day and couldnt find a thread on it. But some of the knowledgeable ones will respond. The auto climate controls are a pain but i dont want to go through changing all the stuff that needs changing and removing dash etc.

 

Removing The Dash Is Easy Once You've Done It Like 50 Times Like Me.. Lol

 

My car originally had manual controls. When I did my turbo swap, I decided I wanted to try the auto... well it sucks ***, so I swapped back in the manual controls. It's very simple to do... just gotta take off the dash & swap parts.

 

i am gona put my heat back in. But all my controls have been takin back out. so now. I got to do All them vaccume lines. Hummmmmm. lol. How? And i want Just heat. no A/C. I took All Three black boxes out. and i only want to put back the one(s) i need. And it don't have to run through the vents. I don't care if it just blows open to the floor. Heat is heat.

 

Well, you need all 3 boxes, unless you feel like fab'ing some funky tubing, because the blower fan is on the right, a/c in the middle, and heater on the left. If you can make some tubing to bypass the a/c box go for it. Or better yet (if you are going for weight reduction) just remove the a/c core from inside the box & re-install it w/o the core.

 

I really don't want any of it in my car. I like the whole empty under the dash thing. But heat would be nice. I pick my girl up in this car on the weekends now. The tubing ain't bad. i can do that, make it so it ain't seen. and still have a lil free space to put some stuff

Well. Before you jump all over me. I am installing a Xbox. but It's Not For Gaming. Xbox's Hold Lots of music. And my radio has input. sonn. no more fighting with cd's. and the xbox will be hiddin. so you won't be able to tell it's there. No ricer **** here.

Cool... but you'll need a power inverter too. And will you be able to access the files w/o a screen? I'd personally rather invest in a new stereo deck that has USB jump drive slots in the front, or an I-Pod, or at least an MP3 ready stereo. Then you don't have to lose an xbox to the car, risk it being stolen, or worry about hooking up a power inverter. I'm not saying it's a BAD idea, just listing concerns I would have if I were doing that project.

 

I got ya on the inverter. plus i know the xbox menu by heart. Projects i used to do to these things. i made a sterio/xbox hybrid once. was cool. I have done many things with xbox's. And i might install a small screen in future. and i have wireless remote for it, so no corded controller. and i have already put 80 cd's worth on one xbox and have yet to even hit near to half way full.

 

Did you open th email I sent you, the pfd, section ha which is the heater and
air conditioner from the factory service manual?
Knew you didn't have heater....you can get hypothermia from driving that car around with this weather!

 

i only drive it about 3 miles when i do. She still aint ready for much else. Timing still ain't just right yet. and the only reasion i did drive it was cause my truck is down. And i just don't know what i am gona do yet, cause i am gona get a S30 and drop my 83 engine and electronics in it.
