a little update for you guys

Well as it goes, my Z has been running sweet lately. I still have the exhaust leak. But I know what to do with that. I have a couple of questions though. One I have to top off my oil, here and there. Because of an oil leak in front kind of where the timing cover is. Not real bad, but annoying nonetheless. Do you think you could tell me some info, on why it is leaking there? Like I said it is not terrible. But annoying, and I don't want it to turn into something worse.

As for running wise, after emissions. I put my timing back where I marked it, and dialed in the AFM, and such. By the way my AFM came out of a 280z. How do I know this? Well considering the part number is different, and that it has an extra arm inside on the needle like thing that sweeps across the carbon track. I don't care if it is the wrong one, because it brought my emissions way down. And my boy loves to run on it. He doesn't care that it came off an older 280z. Anyway just thought I would share with you guys on that. And feel free to post some info about my oil leak, and thanks.

Could be the front oil seal. The one that installs on the timing cover where the crank snout comes out. That's the most likely cause of an oil leak in that area. Second would be the oil pan gasket.

Man, this oil leak thing is contagious. Yeah my guess has to go to more than likely the front oil seal. Look around the oil pump as well. The gaskets can go on that. Finally if it's not the oil pan gasket you might have to remove the timing cover and start replacing gaskets.
