A little help please?

Can anyone take a picture of their manual heater control valve that doesn't have the capillary tube and is installed on the heater box please?

I'm replacing mine valve with one that doesn't have that annoying tube. And I can tell it mounts differently. I just don't know how exactly.

I think there are only 1 or 2 people on ZDriver who have one w/o the tube (Ice was one I believe).

You should probably send a pizza their way if you want them to remove the kick panel & vent tubing, just to take a pic.

Also... it should mount exactly the same.

How about you posting a pic of the differences between the two?

Wow, I must have been one of the lucky few! Or unlucky, Ah well lol

Uh, That would cost to much to send a Pizza from Middle of nowhere UT to, well, where ever lol Comon its only 3 bolts

Nope not even close, looks like one mounts perfectly flat, while the other kinda mounts sideways...

K brb once my cam charges.

Friday when I can actually tear my dash apart, I'll be able to take a look at it myself.

it doesnt mount to the same hole locations as your old one... the heater box has an extra set of hole locations to mount the new valve to.. it was a pain in the *** to install but i got it to work. the hard part for me was adjusting the little push/pull pins...

Here's an idea... use google maps to find a Pizza Hut local to Ice. You call that location and have them deliver. Should work much better than sending a Pizza from Utah via FedEx.

They don't take orders from outside the state. Ah well.

Anyways I've already torn apart my dash (and added a new crack to it....) So far it looks very straight forward. But my new heater core didn't come with any foam wrapping, any idea where to get something like that? Walmart? lol

No thanks, I already got it all figured out lol

Has actually a LOT easier then I expected. the holes where already predrilled for the new valve, I fitted the heater core no issue. the hardest part actually was getting the new lines though the firewall lol

So I took like no photos... oops lol
