I picked up a complete turbo donor car for $550. With a refresh for the motor before swapping it in (new gaskets, new water pump, new belts etc.), it will probably be another $150 or so on top of that.

I'm new to these cars and the motor. But I'm only assuming that fixing these old motors are not that much?

Is this block an iron block? I am referring to the L28 motor.

I'm very new to this motor.

If you need an l28 I got one that i'm about to pull out. it has 80k or so miles but it has sat for a long time so basically needs new air flow meter, wiring etc. before I started taking it out, It would run. I put a new coolant temp sensor on it and tightened the afm spring and put new plugs and wires in it and did an oil change and it would run good, till the afm spring loosened up again... I don't want to pull the engine out and just scrap it for 30 bucks, but I don't want to just throw it out into the yard with a trash bag over it and hope no one steals it, as I have no storage space..... other than the car itself but i need to do a v8 swap and it's kinda in the way. if you or anyone else is interested in it email me or msg me. my email is hello.goodbye78@yahoo.com

also got the 5 speed trans if anyone wants that I don't need it make me an offer it's just gunna be scrap metal or a boat anchor if no one buys it lol
