Talking Kick @ss!!!!

So i was in front of my house one day. Just looking over one of my cars and this guy rolls up and says hey man I got a 82 280zxt 5 speed for sale. just give me $500. At that point i was already sold but i still had not seen the car yet.. So the next day I saw it and I drove it home I hit like 80 on the freeway hell yeah its my dream car i been looking for the 5-speed and she came to me.(((($490.00 SOLD)))..of course its not in perfect condition. The turbo smokes but He gave me another one since he had an extra. Only thing is he told me it had a (Auto turbo ECU) in it.. So now i'm looking for one..I have some parts to trade I have an 83 ECU N/A 5 speed with digital dash, that may b of interest. I am parting out my 83 N/A 5-speed.

Sweet!!!!! That's a score!

Though why do you need another ecu? I've swapped auto & manual ecu's and they've run the same for me...

Yeah I was thinking of that but it just seems a little complicated.
Maybe i'll get the parts and put them in a box till i'm ready..Junk Yards are funny anyway its like finding buried treasure.

NIsmo...I was not sure if it would work right ( ECU ) I did drive the car and there was like a lag in first gear a little. I was just thinking of getting it back to stock. But if I do the Z31 swap i wont need it i guess haha

The cool thing is i have had a Z for 12 years now and I never had a working antenna. I cant wait to get my car back. I got my mechanic taking a look at it. The weather has been bad so I have to wait

Well guys I went to the DMV today and it cost me $490 dollars in back tags. I guess there is just something with this car..I paid 490 for it and the tags was for 490. So now i have a grand invested into the car. Oh well like i said its the car i have wanted now for 12 years. Now i have until the end of june to get it to pass smog. Before my temporary permit expires. I need to rebuild the turbo. I know there was an oil leak. is it cheaper to rebuild the turbo or get a new one off ebay or something? And if I choose to do the Z31 swap will a stock turbo be ok?

run some fairly thin oil, back the timing down and make sure everything is connected. Probably wont pass without a good cat in it. Just smogged my na in CA and it was iffy with a weak cat. Ive seen cars that smoke oil pass but not since the dyno testing came out.

MS, no smog laws here. TN, ARK, no smog. no inspection. Oh, and in MS the only inspection is when they check the headlights, tail/brake lights. and windshield wipers

RPMs not going over basically 2600. I can eventually speed up but by no means should it drive the way it does. What do yall think it might be?

Did you get the motor rebuilt / new headgasket? What's the timing set to?

The TPS is the main culprit for the "unable to rev" issue. Check the plug / connection & also the AFM / connection.
