just a little catching up

heya guys.. i havnt been on in a while (a few weeks.) i broke the driveshaft on my car then my parents took it away, then they fixed it and now i got it back.. did a little of this and that just making sure all the timing and stuff little fine tuning was all in order, i am still learning the perfect shift points. but for when im showin off i found out that i can scratch at 65mph when i go into 3rd gear, and it tends to scare ppl.i think its pretty badass.... anyways just catchin up like i said havnt been on in a while.. l8er

He means chirping the tires. Letting them loose.

yeh. actually even though its fun to do, cuz i like showin off in my car, i think that havin the ability to spin ur tires, is just wasted horsepower. but either way, ive gotton to know my car very well and i love it. im not scared to drive it persay, but it can b an amazing car if u know how to drive it, which im still just learning to do.

A friend of mine traded in his '04 Ford F150 on a Titan last night. I guess they have to bring his Titan in from another lot, so he doesn't take posession until today. So, they let him take his F150 home overnight. So of course he did a gnarly brakestand in the parking lot last night. 1 tire fire!!!! it was awsome. He fried that right rear tire down to almost nothing. Showing off is fun, but it's gonna suck to be the dealership that now has to replace 1 tire

My car isn't much of a tire toaster. The tires I have are so wide and so sticky that it takes a lot of force to make them spin. I can do it... but it's really hard on the clutch. It will scratch second occasionally... but I don't think it has the juice to scratch third with that much rubber on the ground.

Rod.

a scratch isn't exactly a burnout, it's when you are shifting gears and you make the tires spin. Hondas and Acuras can do it easily because of their poorly set up FWD. It's pretty easy to chirp the tires in your Z, as long as your motor is well tuned. Just take off in 1st, wrap the gear out to 4500-5000 rpms, then shift into second and get off the clutch as fast as you can. You don't want to ride the throttle and clutch, you just want to shift as fast as possible. If you do it right, you can chirp the tires and not fry your clutch. When I race my Z, I take off pretty quick, spin the tires a little bit in first, and fry them in 2nd. Scares the **** out of any rice I'm racing.

Yeah, when you start going sideways when you shift into 3rd, it tends to make them wonder what's going on...

Of course, I haven't done that in about 9 months... ;(

Ah hell! Rev it up a little drop the clutch and let em spin to about 6000 then drop into second with a quick shift and you get more than a chirp outta second. Looks like I repaved the street in front of my house (I live in the sticks and don't have any neighbors to disturb ). But for even more fun (if you know what you're doing) I do the above procedure around a turn with some clutch modulation in second to keep her spinning through second while the cars sideways. Good fun, No chirp in third though, not yet anyways. Need more Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DISCLAIMER (so lww dosn't jump on me ):
Trying the above mentioned abusive procedure can cause some serious damage to your driveline. Or engine if you over rev it (I've come pretty close ) and therefore do not condone this behavior.

But it's still good fun. And if anyone in the Suffolk area ever want's to **** their pants I've got some really fun single wide country roads, shot bushings, and only 3 brakes if they want to go for a drive
