Just foar teh lulz...

so how did those shortened knuckles work? and did you shorted your strut bodies? i was thinking about doing that cause i got to figure out how to get mine lower again due to me now having a ka24e in there vs the weight of the l28et. the front sits monster truck style lol

Yeah that's what I thought I was seeing, but I woulda went a different route attaching those than drilling and pop riveting, that is if I were to ever lower a car so far that the rails were hitting the street....
I like low, just functional low, perfect control arm geometry low with not much more than -1 degree camber and proper offset wheels and non stretched tires so that there is a proper flush look. Everything functional but meeting good tastes. To each his own I guess... It is just an S130 after all lol

my car functions just fine at this height, however I'm in the process of making plans to make her handle even better, while still retaining my ride height. lol flush without stretched tires. that's dumb.

Dumb? ummm no that's function my friend. Dumb is stretching tires causing uneccessary stress on the sidewalls as well as eliminating sidewall flex entirely and limiting the contact patch of the tire with BOTH reduce traction. I'm not about trying to become the next DK lolz, I'm about raping corners and leaving them as fast as possible. No hate, you have your tastes for form, I have my tastes for function, but also trying to balance in the form. And I won't get on your case unless you do something that honestly screams retard, so far you haven't pushed that yet... though... you sure like to live close to that boundary lol.

When you have to flare the fenders, or pull or roll them, just to barely clear its flush. "hella flush" bs is when you try to stick the rim of the wheel past the fender and stretch the tire to clear. Plus, almost no tire is going to be a straight vertical wall from the tread patch down to the rim, there will be either a slight bulge or an ever so slight stretch, obviously you don't want a bulge. so it's achievable. do I have to find pictures or draw a diagram?

yes... 295's on 8's... that's what we are so many people are alllllll about... ESPECIALLY ME.
It's about fitting the largest wheel (in width and a 16-17 inch diameter max, for a S30, it differs on certain cars obviously) and then fits a proper tire on it.
See the rear wheel on this? notice a tire that is sized right for the wheel? notice the rim of the wheel itself is straight inline with the flare? that's flush. For me, that's how things are done correct, however that is an opinion. Unless you are building a legitimate racecar then it's more of a fact... any who
and this is your onsided opinion. notice again the word used... opinion.

oh it isnt? but it has stretch and the tires touch the fenders that have been cut, the wheels stick out past them! pretty sure that's what you have been slowly describing little by little these past few posts.
I'm sorry man I gotta ask, and I'm not asking this to be a dick, or in any detrimental way, I'm just honestly concerned for you at this point, to you have antisocial personality disorder? because you really express a lot of the symptoms for it buddy.

I doubt it, I can already lock my tires up with stock brakes, and I don't plan on ever going bigger on the tire size. lol
I think the rear lowered itself a little bit moar which is cool.
got some JDM amberlamps today gonna polish those up and put em on soonish
still making plans as far as what I want to do next haha

I can lock up the brakes on my Geo too...
I want a brake setup that will hold up to some good heat on the track but there's very little info on the 280zx's. I found one debate thread on ZCar a while back, and the final conclusion was "just buy good brake pads". der...
I would prefer not to spend $2k-$3k for an entire OUTLAW kit... I buy BMW's for less than that.

honestly, if I were to do it, I'd convert to S13 front knuckles, space the ball joints out an inch or inch and a half, make some tie rods using heim ends (REALLY not that hard at all) and do what all the S13 guys do (brake upgrades and coilovers).
only reason I DIDN'T go that route is because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to go as low as I am currently.
