Nice man, looks like you got your work cut out for you. It looks to be a great project Z. And with some T.L.C., dedication, time, and hard work, with money when needed. It will be a kick #ss sportscar, and will get it's glory back onto the road. Good luck to you brother, and keep up updated on your progress.

My new project is Home
This is one of my many projects. Just got it in last night. It's a Out of town car/just riding around in. 3.8 V6 Auto trany. all Leather. Power Everything, she was top of the line for that model in 94. She runs but she has a busted a motor mount. When the motor mount poped it took trans cooling line with it. So Repair of trans line. and motor mount. and she's good to go. Maby some rim's, sub's(plenty of room for them), some Neon's. And YES it is a Wagon. But hey. 500$ what can ya say.

thats like saying someone was interviewing michael jordan about past championships and Kobe decides to stop by and join the interview because he's also won championships. Sure they've both won championships, but its Jordans interview
Of course this is the thread jacking forum, aka: the 280zx forum

well i spoke too soon. do yall think its too far gone to save(first photo)? i dont think so, i guess the best way to fix it is find a donor car(wrecked of course) with some good floor pans in it. here are some more progress photos, its all cleaned out now(for the most part, lol). thanks al,l im having a blast with this car. my son and i are dissassembling(sp?) it together and when he is ready for this car, it will be his car, like i said " WHEN HE'S READY!" lol 16yrs old isnt ready for what we're going to do with this thing
.
that actuly don't look as bad as some i have seen. a few patches here and there is a Very common thing with Z's. Z's are high mantinace car's cause there old. Any car or truck as old as these have rust. Just a Z thing.
Yeah that don't look too bad, it can be repaired. I have seen worse also, and they weren't far gone. If you doubt the floorpans, just get some replacement ones from the aftermarket catalogs. From the sticky in the 280zx forums. Good luck to you, and keep us updated.
im glad everyone is saying this, it makes me feel a little better only problem is i need to find myself a (wrecked or rotted or both) yet complete Turbo 2 seater, lol(good luck right) and the z cars seem to be few and far between almost none around here in Iowa, anywhere.
BTW Shady can i ask where you found those clear light covers? all i am finding are the tinted ones.

www.blackdragonauto.com You can get them here $10 cheaper.
does anyone know if those headlight cover kits are the same between MSA and BlackDragon? I've had the ones from MSA, and was happy with those. But if the Blackdragon ones are the same then I might as well buy those ones this time around and save a few bucks.

my main concern is the mounting hardware (or even the way they mount). The MSA kit uses decent hardware and you have the option of screwing the hardware on (which I highly recommend over just sticky tape). The MSA covers also fit perfectly.
It sucks now that they're gone and neither one of us even has them
