LWW - yes I have all those cars now and my Frontier, but I decided to go old school. The 350Z will soon be up for sale.

Hardworkin - I may sell the wheels. tires are 215/60/15 I was thinking $200 for the set. Plus shipping in your case.

I went and looked at the car. That's better than most people get when listing a car on Craigslist. He said people would make lowball offers without asking anything about the car or they would want to trade their beat up Honda for it. I just looked at it, asked if he was flexible on the price (didn't offer a price) He was pretty firm so I said it was a good car but I'm going to keep looking around.
A month later his wife emails me and asks if I'd be interested in the Z at a lower price because they want it to go to someone who will take care of it. When I got there, he said some other guy seemed a little too "Fast and Furious" and he didn't want to sell the car to him! lol

yup, no more 2+2. None of my Z's are 2+2 now.

Can I just bolt in a back seat from a 2+2 into this car? How can I make my car faster? What engines bolt into this Z?

The profile pic was taken wider that it looks. I just cropped out the appropriate amount.

Full size picture

so this is the girlfriend thread now eh?

bleach thats good you should spend time on the fairlady it will actually probably pay you off in the end. and since this one doesnt seem to need any attention, just do stuff to it when you get that urge then every body is happy!

why sell the 350? thought that was the one for daily, and you wanted out of the fix and drive game!! although the frontier makes a decent daily.

Yeah I saw the turbo 240 but I meant the 280ZX turbo located in Beach Park. He says its from Texas and has no rust and just 116000 miles. Looks like a deal.

Yeah I'd ride up there.....but not Lake Shore Drive, those people are crazy!!

He's asking $2800.I generally prefer manual too, but the automatic 280ZX turbos are actually a little faster. Back then the manuals had problems with turbo lag.

Owning both a manual & auto 280zxt, I have the following to say:

Maybe 0-60 time, but above that a 5 speed can well outrun a 3 speed auto.

I disagree 100%. Stick the clutch pedal in, rev, release... there's no difference from then to now in doing that.

auto turbo was 1 tenth of a second faster to 60. lol... Auto owners just wanted bragging rights. They wont' say that the 5-speed turbo blows past them after that point.
Check 1/4 mile times

going from an NA 3.5L 300hp to this... ya, just a little turbo lag but it runs smoother than my prior turbo 280ZX. that one had a bad wastegate and possibly other little issues.
If I get my ricer BOV, I'll be good with stock boost.

The car has a couple issues I need to look into. Interrior only though. Both power windows don't respond and the talking lady doesn't work! But it has remote keyless entry. (aftermarket)

The heater controls actually work!!! working AC!!! OMG!! ...I forgot to test the cruise control
