Huge Dumb Question

With out the ECU, Will the 82-83 Dizzy control the coil? such as i am going with carbs and taking out the EFI. I do know that the 82-82 ign module has two plugs rather then the 79-81 with only one, and the car runs fine with the bottom one unpluged. and the bottom one runs directly to the ECU, I think the top plug only goes to coil, and from coil to tach

Yes it will but the ignition timing will be stuck at -8 degrees when unhooked from the ECU if I remember right.

been busy. Comin out fckin awesome dude. no cosmetic work, just replacements/upgrades. All factory things that need to be replaced, are getting upgraded. kinda focused on mechanical condition of the car. shiny things that don't run just no fun.

I'm pretty sure it was only the Turbo distributor that is controlled by the ECU.

The non-turbo run timing with vacuum advance and internal weights.

No the late one advances the curve slightly from the ecu (Hence the plug that runs to the ECU) its not entirely controlled by the ECU tho
