Hid

so.. its been a while since my last post.. but.. i got a set of the HID and projectors... the thing is, the projecter i got is too big and it doesnt fit cause of the wheel well... so i was thinking of doing what nismo did, with just the projector... what do you think??

nismo, how did you make a bracket for it and where too.. help please?? nismo?

I used a spare set of headlight brackets, made backing plates, cut holes in the middle of them to hold the projector housings, welded them in, and wa-la! I say "wa-la" but it took me prolly 20-30 hours of planning & fab work. I wanted a GT Racing look, mostly like this GT40:

so, i went to home depot and got some plates, and then i made my own bracket, bend it to make it fit and cut it and all that.. and here it is.. i still gotta adjuet it and make it level and the bulb isnt the same color.. but im thinking about getting 4500.. these one are 6k..

got it off ebay.. and the hid was from one of my friend from work that sells em... and he has a life time worrenty also... lol

hid kit was 180, projectors was like 60 bucks i think.. and then i got the housing also just the reg case for like 20 bucks.. but it didnt fit like it said, so i ended up not useing it..

heres a few pics of the brackets i made







its hold on by the stock head light frame screw and on the projector it goes inot the middle and its held on by a screw inside also.. so its stiff

That actually does look pretty good. I would cut the back off a standard housing and cut out a hole to slide the HID in to "finish" the back of the headlight bucket and clean it up a bit, but it's lookin' pretty good kid!
