Help in the VA/NC area

So I just got word that my car has not been sold. Apparently the guy who bought the car, when he came to get it, backed out. The reason? It wouldnt run. He was actually buying this thing as a driver. That would've gone over nice what with the cops on the look out for it. He couldn't get it to start cause theres a kill switch to the fuel pump that he didnt know about

So now my car is still just sitting there on their property. Well the money I WAS going to use to have that Z transported out here has already been spent on getting another Z. So I'm either looking for someone who wants to buy her or someone in the area that would be willing to hold onto her for me (I'd pay to have it towed to your place) til I can get her transported out here to SD. If anyone is interested in doing either then please PM me and let me know.

Wow J, that's good to hear. Man I wish I could help you, but I am nowhere near that area. Hopefully somebody, will help you out, so eventually you can get your baby back. Keep us updated, it would be sweet to hear you got it back home.

I dont think I'm going to keep it. After thinking about it and talking it over with my wife it just doesn't seem like the logical thing to do. For what its going to cost to get it transported out here I could find another one closer to me. Plus that cost is going to set me back on the 260's return to the street. I figured it would be a couple of months or so before I MIGHT be able to get it transported and by then winter is in it's full bloom up here so I'd have to wait another few months. By then I can just save up money to put into the 260 or even to go buy another 280ZX (slick top). I will definitely be buying another 280zx though. I guess having the 260 now has kind of eased the aggravation of losing my 280 If I dont get any offers on her then I'm just going to donate it to someone.

1981 280zx Turbo 2 seater ('83 L28ET/Nissan 5-speed/3.9 R200)
Suffolk, VA 23434

She runs great. Needs a heater hose on the side of the block repaired (battery fell on it). Other than that she'll run and drive all day. She also needs a couple of ball joints up front so she can be aligned. She gets squirrly at higher speeds because of this. She's got a few minor issues non-related to driveability like a non working drivers door lock and a couple gauges are a little screwy. She's not perfect by any means but she runs strong.

Dude, that's right down the street from me. I'm in Norfolk, VA. I'd like to hear the story though before saying I'll store a car for you that "the cops are on the lookout for". Email me directly, forty4@jasezx.com.
