The "Help NismoPick get his Z home" Thread

I did some calling around...
$500 - $600 is about the cheapest I've found for a disabled vehicle... which really isn't too bad. I had a $400 quote, but then she asked if it ran... $150 tack on price for disabled car as they have to winch it on. I wish I could charge $150 to do 5 minutes of exertion free labor.

If I wasn't broke as crap I would send you some money. That price is a little steep from DAS, but they are flexible. Did you call them or just get an email quote. I wouldn't suggest getting email quotes cause they will NEVER leave you be, but I would get a couple other shipper's names and call DAS, tell them so and so offered you less. I also got a hundred bux knocked off for asking if they had any specials and if it 'was the best they could do'? Just my $0.02

I prolly COULD have gone farther, but eventually the cam would have bound to the towers w/ no oil.
The car was actually running quite well at first. We had to stop in Barstow for a quick nap... woke up & continued the drive. The car had cooled all the way off so temp looked fine at first... then my oil temp got hotter & hotter while my coolant stayed the same (right in the middle). When the oil got to about 270 degrees I decided I had to pull over & see what was up, cuz I still had oil pressure. I pulled off an exit & took off the oil fill cap... cam dry as a bone. Tried to start it again & it made some wonderful screeching. So that's when I called it quits.
