Picked up a project, 260z with 280zx turbo engine, idles great ad starts perfect, it has slow slow exceleration and no power, the return line was capped so I fixed that and flushed the tank and replaced some fuel lines and filter, pump pumps fuel and returns it to the tank, but it won't start, but it will start if I block off the return. I don't see a fuel pressure regulator and I was wondering if that's my problem? Any info would be awsome thanks

 

My bad had a brain fart, I do have a the stock regulator, but could it possibly be stuck open or closed or my pump doesn't supply enough pressure? Haven't hooked up any gauges yet, but I do have a line that comes off the fuel rail that looks like a return line, where does it go?

mine is like that the pump is on but the car wont start i believe its the hoses that got mixed up
