I've been looking online for this kit forever : 280ZX Widebody Kit

What do you guys think? It's the yellow one at the bottom... worth 3000? or stick with the MSA kit 2?

 

Have you contacted the company, about 2 1/2 years ago I contacted Kaminari ( that's who designed and molded that kit) on getting one, and even though I found 4 websites with pics and prices, Kaminari said it was out of production! I believe one of the molds got destroyed also, so please let me know if you can get one, that would be perfect for my next 280zx project.

 

I remember seeing that same web page back in 1996 when I was first shopping for a Z. They haven't changed it since, and it was no longer available then.
Besides, $2500 is a bit much. My car isn't even worth that much right now!

No offense or anything, But DAMN that thing is Fugly! I think it's a little over the top personally, but if you like it... more power to ya, that's what makes this a great country. Good luck finding one.

I really think that are cars are worth more than you think ..i have seen some adds in this week auto trader $7000@up that mite make you think diff ..one add is for an 1983 AT with a body kit they are asking $7,300.00 and the other is for a stock one owner car a 1980 has 167k .....i really think that its like this ..we own these car we put all the time into them , we know they out perform new cars ie
{my girl $14,000.00 tiburon,honda,doge neons,and a bunch of other crapyes}
so why ant we setting the price higher.i dont give a crap about WHAT THE BLUE BOOKS SAY. In the four months i have owned red i put
$3365.00 in to her.. she runs fast , has less miles then the tibby .but people would pay out the *** to have the tibby and talk **** all day about red.i just dont get poeple they buy **** that they know nothing about for taxed *** prices.. really though ive seen your car you dont think that with all the work you have done to it that itS not worth at least $5000.00 .WHAT ABOUT AFTER YOU DO ALL THE WORK TO PUT YOUR TURBO MOTOR IN????..there is no way i would let mine go for under $6500.00{you couldn't pull it from my cold dead hands i wont ever sell her } Poeple that are setting the price at $3000 are just saying.. here iam IM a sissy i need money lets make are cars seem like there just big dumpy pieces of **** and WE ALL KNOW THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT ALL go to safeway and get a auto trader.. my scaner is broke... if you own a z dont sell it cheap you make the rest of of look bad

 

Its all about looks too. I've got dents, majorly faded paint, little rust in the corners, and high miles. (220K) If I HAD to sell my car I could not get anyone to pay $5000. If I threw a $500 macco paint job on it really quick, maybe I could get $3500.

Once I throw my turbo engine in, Honda seats, wheels, paint, then ya it'll be a whole different story. I'll be getting full coverage insurance on it too and make sure I understand at what value they have replacement cost listed at for my particular car.

I also see a lot of expensive Z-cars for sale, but dont' hear of any of them selling for that much. You see some 280ZX's on eBay for $10,000 all stock, low miles... they never sell.

 

Yes I Was Going To Call These Z And See If They Sold In A Week Or To ..but I Really Think That We Set The Price And Not The Buyer Its The Value That We Set And State As The Zdriver And Under Cutting That Is Just Hurting Us We.. All Know How Much Fun These Car Are To Drive ..i Think That Counts For More Than Any Thing

 

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. My car is worth at least $6000 and no less. ...or trade for 350Z

As for Bleach, you know a 500$ Macco paint job, some seat covers and a dash cover = FULLY RESTORED in the Auto Trader

 

i won't say its ugly, but it does kill the original bodylines. It's got more of a muscle look than the smooth sexy lines. I don't care for the front fenders, but the rest is alright.

I had the capitalizing thing happen to me one time too! Didn't even notice it until someone mentioned it. I don't know what I did to cause it, but I didn't change any settings.
