Hi, I am new to this forum but a couple of weeks ago I came across some nice heads that were produced in the past but were very rare. The pictures are located on this page http://www.datrats.com.au/PICTURES.html . They are for the L28 and turns your use to be SOHC to a new monster DOHC. I have E-mailed Enonvativ Force, an official Os Giken distributor in the states concerning, getting these heads reproduced. Here's there E-mail address Info@EnonvativForce.com. I know I would love to get my hands on a set of these heads and I bet a few others would too. Please support me on getting this idea to Os Giken's main corporation for them to consider this idea.

THANK YOU!!,
Eric

I got a reply. They said they would need a minimum of 5 people before special ordering the units. I replied asking for a price and more information. Hopefully they aren't outrageously priced. If so i will leave it to someone else to buy if they would like.""

Man that would look beautiful in my engine compartment. Nice find 81 red! Too bad they didn't have any of those heads for sale . Thus, the endless impossible journey continues

I don't think it will work. Not to be pesimistic, but that thing is doomed to failure. If it were that easy, it would've been done already. Because he's gonna have a gasket between the two halves of the head, they could expand at different rates (even with dowels) and that will offset the cam journals, which means bye-bye cam. It only takes the most minute offset to cause catastrophy. I thnk a better idea would be to just take a head off an L28 and machine in some new intake ports on the other side of the head, seal up the old ones with a little welding magic(carefully of course) and modifying any water and/or oil passages as necessary to keep everything inline. Boom, crossflow head. Still SOHC, but who cares, it's crossflow.

It will probably cost a fortune to have those heads built. But Have you tried getting enovativ force to get the plans from OS Giken so that they could be produced in the States?

I can't get so much as a hello from those guys when I mention the head. But then I haven't mentioned anything about the plans either.

Now that's the best thing i've seen yet but since their L28 head is $2500 + exchange, I think most of us are out.

I think that two head idea will be a problem. The head machining is the easy part even though those two hokey bolts are all that keep it together. What about the cams? The timing of the two pieces is so critical that after they are somehow mated together, they would have to be reground just to retime them, big $$. The bolt pattern seems to match the gasket but the water passages don't quite match. You still have to fab a timing cover, valve cover, intake and exhaust. I would put my money on a RB25.

I have an n47 in my 79 280zx, but that's my daily driver. I believe the head came stock on my z unless someone prior did something different. I could probably find you one at one of my local junkyards. If the head comes stock on the 79 I think I know of a place that may have what you're looking

vernon, I've hated the stock bumper on the old 280zxs, but for some reason it looks really good going together with that airdam. I like
