First post - electrical probs
First I want to say hello. I am new to the forum. Previously I have experience building motorcycles...my last project was a 2002 Suzuki GSXR 1000 that put down 231hp to the tire out of a 1.0 liter motor at 10 psi of boost.
I just acquired from a friend an 82 280zx turbo a/t that has been in storage for 5 years. It starts and runs great and everything worked well before stored. Now, the heater fan, wipers and rear wiper do not work, but the fuses all test out. I checked tonight with my Fluke meter for voltage and found that there isn't voltage to the switches but there is voltage at the fuse block, and nothing seems to be unplugged. Anybody have any clues?
I am thinking about starting with putting some racing seats in it, then a larger throttle body, intercooler and boost controller. But I am also curious about fuel injection mapping. For my bike projects, there is a unit that plugs into the ECU and can set fuel parameters for each rpm and throttle position-some 1300+ data points (500 rpm, 1000 rpm...etc. and 0%, 2% 5% throttle on up to 100% throttle). Is there any way to adjust the fuel injection systems on the Z cars (other than rising rate fuel pressure regulators and secondary injectors that kick in under boost as I have used before)...
thanks in advance for any help
