Finally Storing my Z, need tips
Sup guys, well I finally got a Daily driver beater and can finally put my Z aside to take care of it without it taking wear from driving it all the time! The Z is parked by the side of my house and still has half a tank of gas. So what things should I do when storing a car thats not gonna be driven for a very very long time?

if you don't want to drain the tank. that Stay-Bill stuff works nicely. Car cover yes. and alot of battery charger's can do what's called. "Float Charge" if the voltage on batt drops. the charger auto charges it back up. and monitor's it. Start the car twice or more a month. helps keep the motor fresh. and get some oil treatment stuff. STP is ok. add that, let it idle or take it down to raod what ever. let the oil treatment get mixed in. that shoudl keep her ready to start and drive when ever you want.

You could also put some Stabil in the gas tank or sea foam if you can't drain it. I would at least crank if for a few min once a week, if it is possible or while it is possible to do so. You can also build a tent over the car and tightly secure it to the ground and leave one or both windows down a little bit...I put a fine mesh screen over the open windows to keep bugs out but it helps keep the temp in the car down while it sits. You could use a car cover but some of them retain moisture and I know it rains alot here in Fl. Those large blue vinyl tarps with the metal eye holes work great.

Also, when you start the car periodically, move it forward or backward a few inches each time to help prevent flat spots on the tires - that is, unless you plan on putting her up on jack stands during her storage.

hahah thanks for all the advice guys!
yeah I try to start the car every week or so, im already experiecing the problem with the batt dying and fuel in the tank going sour, the car barely cranks but it starts and I let it idle for usually 5-10mins. And the car cover, also a very good idea!
The jack stand advice i didnt know about but Im really considering it now since my tires are BFG Gforce Sports which are really good tires, I recomend them to anyone who loves to take corners hard ,and I love them to death and wouldnt want them to go to waste lol
Im gonna get some Sta Bil and Lucas Oil injector cleaner and other things like that too now. Again thanks guys! Oh and shes coming out of storage as soon as I get my hands on a RB motor, hopefully in a few years once I get school done with! and I currently have a set of JDM S130 fender mirrors that im gonna install soon too! Ill let guys know how things go!

Yeah mine was sitting for five years, she runs like a champ, Oh and i raced that chevy truck pushing 350 or so horses he won but it was close.. He spent 8 or more grand on tuning it i spent 220 plug gas and oil change. i'll beat him after my exhaust and holes get patched in the floor. So i'll back a z over a chevy any day... Iluv i'd put a paper towel down with a irsh spring bar of soap, its old school, but once you pull her out she'll smell like freash springs.
