Carbs are new technology...fuel injection is flintstone technology.

I prefer a little person sitting in my engine bay slowly pouring gas into my manifold.

you'd be supprised, a crank angle sensor is spendy, you never know but yea i think its cheap aswell.

i am curious did you play arround with the idle speed? is the fuel regulator got a good seal on the vaccum line its hooked too?

if you un hook the line while its running and plug the sucking end with your thumb does the cars idle go up?

yea, i've been adjusting the idle speed trying to get it to run. but all its doing is spitting and sputtering. and there's 30 PSI at the regulator. uhmm, how important is that vacuum hose on the regulator at idle? i have a yellow hose on it but i dont think its rated for suction its a fuel hose.
my honest three oppenions of what it would probly be is one, the head sensor, two the o2 sensor, or three the regulator.

mabe this might help a little.
this is after we ran injector cleaner through it. but before we took them out and cleaned them.

and now it will start up, run for a second and then die. it wont even idle like this.

I felt like I was trippin on acid as I watched that vid.

Again... replace the CHTS. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...ode=22630-L28E

You can prolly get one for cheap @ a junk yard or someone's spare car.

sounds like a rocker arm is ticking bad, (or low oil pressure) and an exhaust leak.

What is up with that wavy video? Is that the heat wave because its 160 deg out?

it blurrs reallyyyy easy.

replaced the CHTS, still doing the same thing. starts right up.. runs for a second and dies.. wait 5 minutes, start it again runs for a second and dies.

whats your fuel pressure at and whats your ignition timing at, both will make it run like that, and make it die. have you tried keeping the rpm up with the accelerator pedal to warm it up??? cold start may not be working, or the chts you installed if used is buggered. use your foot as the cold start circuit. my car runs worse than that in the mornings, mine will idle at 350-400 rpm!!!

my fuel pressure is at 50PSI at the pump and 30 PSI after the regulator at the fuel rail. my cold start is working, i had to clean it tho but finally got it spraying. and i give it gas to start it and it doesnt do much anything different. if i spray gas in the manifold and have a constant flow of it i can rev the engine. but if it doesnt get enough fuel it spits.

not sure at the timing tho, im assuming its dead on. because like i said i can feed it fuel and it runs really nicely. i can rev it and all. even left a black mark. =P

id say buggered injectors? if you have pressure, and you have what you think is dead on spark, only thing left is the injectors. even if they spray nice, are they spraying at full potential. or did some tard play with the afm??? if you adjust it way out, itll do odd stuff too.

pull the wires one by one untill the car runs the same with what everr wire or wires you have off (do only one at a time) and pull the plug out and see if you have spark, your gonna have to ground it though.

that is if you really dont think your getting spark

good spark, really good compression.. my guess would be ATLEAST 150+ mabe even 170 or more. no idea what this N/A is suppose to run at.
and the guy said he bought a brand new AFM and put it on. he said it was like $200.

hmmmm, good chance its that, the afm must be tuned to the car, they just cant be swaped due to variables on each car. and some years have diff. afm's i believe. good stock comp. is usually around the 120 mark. you only have 8.8:1 ratio, so it doesnt really make it go that high. when i had 11.8:1 i had 240!!!

just a thought. it sounds like the engine is starving for fuel. have you changed your fuel filter or checked to make sure you fuel pump is working properly and not going out? if you start the engine up like that, and give it gas, what happens?

if you would have read the thread you would have seen im getting 50PSI at the pump and 30 at the rails. and i replaced the fuel filter with a brand new ones. and cleaned all the injectors they all spray like a champ. we know its a fuel problem. im really trying to find the link for this 4 barrel carb conversion. not trying to be mean but just read the first page next time.

what im trying to say is if the spray fine, then look elsewhere. like the elecrics, afm, or the dizzy, theres only so much needed to make a car run. manifold will work, but fix waht you got and drive, your gonna go v8 anyhoo, might as well not spend extra money
