Ok, well i got the rail installed and everything was looking great..but now i think my replacement fuel pump has bummed out on me. hooked up my leads the the green and black wires and then threw power to it for a second and heard nothing. I also tried the method in the book about disconnecting the starter and listening for the ump...nothing...is it toast? This is all assuming that the relays up front and the rest of the wiring is good but after throwing power to it w/o the wiring i should have heard something right? (And before i get yelled at for not searching i've read like 15 posts on the subject but most of them were for guys who knew it was dead or were wanting to eliminate the wiring.)

if you put power straight to your pump and the wires and power source are both known to be good then yea, the pump is dead.

As for the pump do what j said. Run wires from the pump directly to the battery. That will let you know if the pump is good or not.

My suggestion is to get a helper then disconnect the electrical wires from the fuel pump, turn on the ignition & put a 12v tester on the wires to see if your getting any juice (electricity). If you not geting any voltage then you will have to back track, and the first place I would check is your fuse as usually the simpliest thing is the problem. Good Luck
