clutch problem
ok, I just got a 83 280ZX today, best part is, I got it for free! (ower said that it didn't run, car sat for 4 years behind a wearhouse, get in today and it starts right up! and runs!) =) any way here is my questoin when I press the clutch in, it stays to the floor doesn't come up, I can lift it up with my foot...but thats it....the trany still goes into gear and everything fine.....its just that the clutch is stuck. I'm guess its the slave cylinder? any one else have any ideas? also fuild is full, also sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I"m new to this board
thanks!
thanks!

You could try bleeding out the clutch resivoir (like bleeding your brakes, I'm told) and refill as necessary. It also might be the linkage binding a little. If you go under the car and look at the tranny housing up close to the motor, you'll see the linkage. It should be fairly easy to pull apart. Smear liberally with grease......then take a test run! (I like the test runs....)
Last case scenario (that I could think of) would be that the springs in the pressure plate are worn out. This means.....new clutch.
If this doesn't help.......ask Ice.

I had the same problem, and it turns out that after 53,000 miles I needed a new clutch. Oh well...Im missing my baby as we speak, for she is at the Nissan dealer...
I bought a centerforce 1 clutch btw, has anyone ever gotten this? And if so, how do they like it?
