a/c blower

why would my blower not be blowing hard... it seems to be blowing about half of what should be....just the other day I noticed when I got on the gas,it would stop blowing, untill I backed off , then it would start blowing again, but not strong, still half what it should........& the motor is not making that much noise.

1 what's the most likley cause?? vacume/door not adjusted??
2 where is the best place to start looking ??

thanks hermultra

Sometimes mine will stop under heavy acceleration. But, I've disconnected my a/c, so I don't run it all that much. Just for heat in the winter.

On the n/a the vacuum to open the vent ports comes direct from the intake manifold.... at full throttle, there is little vacuum in the intake & thus the vent ports won't open & will fall back to default floor vents.

On the turbo the vacuum comes from a vacuum pump up by the inspection light. It makes a very distinct pumping noise when it's going.

Can you hear it when you turn on the vent / a/c?

Also... do you have the ACC (auto climate control) or manual control?
