'81 Turbo came with the "Honeycomb" wheels.

'82 to '83 Turbo came with the "Swastika's".

These wheels have been swapped around so frequently over the last 25 years out of either necessity or preference that it's a miracle when you see one with the original wheels for whatever year the car is!

My '82 came with the original factory wheels. The six spoke, but I could have swore my '81 came with them also. Anyway maybe it didn't.

Your '81 may have come to you with the 6-spoke wheels, but not from the factory...

hijacked thread!

Hello...
That being said, the wheels that I have pictured on my early z are from my 83' parts car.

I have the swastica sp? wheels on the turbo car. They will be replaced with Panasport 16" wheels.

I also have the wheels that came on my 260 on the parts car for now. Here is a picture of those.

And a picture of the original equipment wheels on the car THAT WAS THE FOCUS OF THIS POST!

Maybe a bit too ole skool for some....for the basket spoke wheel, jmho.

kenny.

I'm 90% sure the '81 NA came with the "Iron Cross" wheels, but I'm open to being corrected.

79-81 n/a had the iron crosses (base models had plastic hubcaps). 81 turbo had snowflakes. 82-83 n/a had the 6 spokes. 82-83 turbo had the swastikas.

Or was it money???

Oh, no wait I got it. It's: women are the root of all evil.

Women cause doubt and want money which equals evil. Simple math really.

well, fubar allegies to know of such a car. fubar, btw, turned out to be an allright guy to know, in addition to his wrenching skills.

We changed out the oil pan gasket, jack slipped and dented her badly, set me back a coupla hours.

Now I need to get him back to help me with the r & p steering, so we can start to install the JWT upgrade.

He already took a lot of crap off the stock manifold, and we installed the 450cc mercedes injectors, stock fuel rail won't cut it, waiting on Peter Allnet to ship me his from Lousiana.

Got all the other goodies: to "get yer motor runnin" now I'm waiting to "head out on the highway" "lookin for adventure and what ever comes my way"

Which will be intercooler, bigger turbo, ect....

then I can "fire all my guns at once and explode into space....heavy metal thunder"

know the song anyone?

I'll take classic rock for 1000 Alex......
